About The Event:

The Square will be bustling with activities, including Creative Arts Kids Zone seminars and performances in calligraphy, storytelling, drama, and poetry.  In addition to mehndi and facepainting, Muslim Girls Fence offers interactive fencing sessions. Journey through the Islamic Months’ storytelling sessions. We also welcome the New Crescent Society, which will conduct interactive seminars on how to locate the Eid moon in the United Kingdom.

Yet again now in its 18th year, the City hall leader of London’s free, yearly celebration invites Londoners and guests to the capital’s notorious Trafalgar Square to praise the finish of Ramadan, the sacred month of fasting.

Sadiq Khan is a British politician who has served as the current Mayor of London since May 2016. He is the first British-Pakistani to assume this position and the first Muslim mayor of a major Western capital. Prior to becoming Mayor, Khan served from 2005 to 2016 as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tooting.
